Case Study: Maryland GOP achieves a scalable, low-cost candidate network and centralized data-sharing with NationBuilder

A NationBuilder Case Study

Preview of the Maryland GOP Case Study

Maryland GOP created a network model for a whole party to follow

Maryland GOP needed a way to give dozens of down‑ballot candidates and county parties consistent, affordable digital tools while stretching limited state party resources. To address this, the party adopted NationBuilder (using NationBuilder Network) and tapped internal leaders—Political Director Patrick O'Keefe and Data Director Adam Katora—to roll out standardized themes, onboarding and strategic support.

Using NationBuilder Network, Maryland GOP built a scalable, cost‑sharing model with tiered pricing (for example, $40/month for up to a 1,000‑email database) so newcomers could get websites, email and forms at low entry cost. The NationBuilder‑powered network signed more than 50 candidates and county parties in six months, centralized campaign data for targeted lead generation, strengthened party–candidate relationships, and kept typical digital budgets around $500 per candidate.
