How the Alberta Party's new tech infrastructure quadrupled its vote share

The Alberta Party, a growing centrist party in Alberta, partnered with NationBuilder to solve the challenge of rapidly scaling campaign technology for the 2019 general election. The Party needed a mobile-first, full-featured NationBuilder website and database to manage memberships, volunteers, fundraising, events and to support 87 local campaigns while reliably capturing voter contact data.

NationBuilder delivered a central campaign platform plus individual local sites, custom API integrations with tools like eCanvasser, CallHub and Avochato, a secure dashboard for hundreds of users, and structured onboarding and training. As a result, the Alberta Party collected real-time voter data, fielded a full slate of candidates, and grew its vote share from 2% in 2015 to 9% in 2019 — an over 4X increase.
