Expanding the reach of the environmental advocacy movement in Australia

The Wilderness Society, Australia's largest community‑based environmental advocacy movement, faced the challenge of rolling out an ambitious national Community Organising strategy across state-based Campaign Centres. To centralise volunteer management, supporter journeys and integrate with a third‑party CRM, The Wilderness Society adopted the NationBuilder platform, working with agency WebEdge Marketing to redesign data protocols and operational processes.

Using NationBuilder, WebEdge mapped processes, cleansed and restructured supporter data, configured imports, built path-based supporter journeys, and delivered nationwide training via a dedicated training nation. NationBuilder brought all Campaign Centres into one system, enabled national reporting that was previously impossible, reinforced consistent methodology, streamlined processes and delivered greater insights and a broader reach for The Wilderness Society.
