EveryLibrary builds a powerful advocacy network nationwide

EveryLibrary, a three-person nonprofit that provides pro bono advocacy support to municipal libraries, faced the challenge of building nationwide political power from fragmented tools and spreadsheets to protect and grow local library funding. They adopted NationBuilder as a single sign-on platform for supporter data, fundraising, geographic mapping, petition and event pages, and content outreach to consolidate their operations and scale engagement.

Using NationBuilder’s integrated database and action tools, EveryLibrary centralized supporters, ran 100+ campaigns, ballot initiatives and legislative actions, and expanded its reach (including a virtual conference with 1,000 attendees). The results include helping libraries secure $1.7 billion in increased funding and revenue, an average $1,600 in library funding leveraged for every dollar EveryLibrary raises, and a demonstrated cost-per-person of about $0.33 with roughly $1 returned per person annually — outcomes made possible by NationBuilder’s platform.
