Ehe für alle campaign celebrates a historic win for marriage equality in Switzerland

Ehe für alle, a Swiss coalition campaigning for marriage equality, faced repeated popular votes driven by right-wing groups and needed to rapidly build and mobilize a national supporter base. They worked with NationBuilder to provide the digital infrastructure for outreach, database management, volunteer engagement and get-out-the-vote operations.

NationBuilder helped design the campaign strategy, run sign-up pages and tagging/filters, and scale creative tactics like free campaign flags to drive recruitment and data capture. Using NationBuilder tools and consulting support, the effort grew from 0 to 40,000 supporters and then to 70,000 after rebranding and repeat outreach, distributed some 60,000 flags, mobilized 3K+ volunteers, and contributed to the law passing in September 2021 with about two-thirds voter approval.
