Maximizing Airship Testing Efficiency with System on Demand

FLYING WHALES faced significant challenges in testing its innovative LCA60T airship. The need to validate complex functional chains and manage evolving certification standards and design requirements demanded an extremely flexible and scalable testing solution to mitigate risk and avoid costly delays. To address this, they partnered with vendor National Instruments to implement a System on Demand (SoD) solution.

The solution, the modular Iron Whale Bench, was developed and delivered by National Instruments in less than two quarters. This customizable, COTS approach allowed FLYING WHALES to independently manage their testing process and adapt to changes efficiently. The result was a dramatically shortened time to market, enabling the company to accelerate its development, validate critical systems, and prepare for future initiatives with greater confidence.
