A National Instruments Case Study
Avio Aero, partnering with the systems integrator Loccioni, needed to design a scalable and reliable real-time system to verify and validate the control systems of new aircraft engines. Their challenge was to acquire and synchronize a huge amount of data from distributed I/O, execute complex control models, and provide a multi-workstation interface for monitoring and control.
The vendor, National Instruments, provided a solution using its PXI platform, DAQ modules, and VeriStand software to create a deterministic real-time architecture. This integrated system handled high-speed data acquisition, logging, and processing. By implementing this NI solution, Avio Aero reduced its development time by 40 percent, decreased lead time, and increased overall profit.
