Iron Bird Test Systems Help Advance Türkiye’s Aerospace Programs

The customer, TAAC Aerospace Technologies, faced the challenge of needing to safely and efficiently validate increasingly complex and integrated aircraft systems early in the development cycle, before risky and costly actual flight testing. To address this, they partnered with vendor National Instruments, utilizing their NI System on Demand (SoD) test architecture.

The solution implemented by National Instruments involved creating advanced Iron Bird test platforms. These rigs use the NI SoD architecture to replicate aircraft subsystems, enabling safe testing of fault scenarios, realistic flight condition simulation, and integration of hardware and software. This approach from National Instruments helped TAAC reduce program risk, accelerate development schedules, accumulate thousands of test hours, and provide the robust evidence required for aircraft certification for Türkiye's advanced jet trainer and fighter programs.
