Development of a Pacemaker Test System Using LabVIEW and PXI

The customer, INNOTEMS, faced the challenge of developing a high-precision test system for pacemakers, a process made difficult by the complex equipment required and the need to accurately output and analyze results. To overcome this, they worked with the vendor National Instruments, leveraging their LabVIEW software and PXI hardware.

National Instruments provided the solution by developing a Pacemaker Test System. This system, built on TestStand for sequence management and LabVIEW for detailed unit tests, performs software validation, verifies equipment operation, and conducts critical performance inspections. The result was a rapid and streamlined inspection process that generates documentation for easy management, enabling INNOTEMS to develop a robust validation system for a wide range of medical devices.
