A Nasuni Case Study
APi Group, a Minneapolis-based holding company of 40 businesses with about 5,000 employees across 200 locations, needed to accelerate a cloud-first strategy and move away from costly, capital-intensive NAS infrastructure. Legacy storage made sharing large design and project files difficult, slowed remote offices, complicated acquisitions, and left the company without scalable disaster recovery or efficient file recovery.
By deploying Nasuni’s UniFS on Microsoft Azure with lightweight edge appliances (supporting 140 TB), APi gained global file sharing with local LAN‑speed access, continuous versioning for rapid RPO/RTO (recoveries moved from days to minutes and enabled rollbacks after ransomware), single-pane management, and a shift from CAPEX to pay-as-you-grow OPEX. The result: faster collaboration, simpler acquisition onboarding, stronger protection and DR, and lower overall storage costs.
