Nasstar migrates RDG's legacy database to a new cloud-native digital architecture

Rail Delivery Group (RDG), which supports Britain's railway operators, was facing challenges with its self-managed MySQL database on AWS EC2. This move significantly enhanced system resilience, reducing outage times from 30 minutes to 80 seconds and yielding a 10% transactional performance improvement. The migration also resulted in substantial cost savings and provided advanced observability tools, future-proofing the RDG environment while removing previous technical debt.
