University Federal Credit Union (UFCU) worked with Narmi to improve its digital account opening experience as it expanded across university and membership segments. UFCU’s challenge was high application abandonment and an inflexible identity decisioning process that made it difficult to grow efficiently and confidently through digital channels. Narmi implemented a streamlined account opening workflow for UFCU that cut the process to just 2 minutes and 13 seconds and increased completion rates for started applications to 83%, more than 2x UFCU’s previous platform and 4x the industry average. Narmi also gave UFCU greater control over identity decisioning, including manual review tracking, A/B testing, and fraud pattern recognition, helping the credit union open more good accounts while reducing risk.
