Leading Furniture Company worked with Nanonets to solve the challenge of detecting and identifying furniture types and attributes from room images. The goal was to improve product discovery and make it easier for users to find similar items from the company’s existing catalog through image-based search and recommendations.

Nanonets implemented an AI-powered furniture recognition solution using object detection and multi-label classification to identify items like sofas, beds, tables, chairs, and their attributes such as material, fabric type, color, and seating capacity. Deployed on the customer’s own GPU-enabled infrastructure via Docker, the system processed images in 40–50 milliseconds and enabled search and recommendation, increasing user engagement and revenue.
