Bradford Council’s Subject Access Request Response Process Transformed With Nalytics Sars

City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, the local authority for Bradford in West Yorkshire, needed a better way to manage Subject Access Requests under GDPR. Its Corporate Information Governance team was handling around 400 SARs a year, and the largely manual process of gathering data, searching for personal information, and redacting PII was time-consuming and difficult to complete within the one-month deadline.

Following a tender, the council selected Nalytics SARs from Nalanda Technology to streamline the process end to end, including curation, review, redaction, OCR, and packaging of documents. With Nalanda Technology’s solution, Bradford Council reduced manual redaction effort, cut the time spent on multiple SARs in half in some cases, improved organization and tracking, and made it easier to meet deadlines; HR SARs were consistently sent on time or early, with no extensions requested since adoption.
