The University of Colorado Denver’s School of Education & Human Development relied on VMware VMs to run critical services for students and faculty but faced a failing legacy backup solution after a VMware upgrade: expired support, no web interface or reliable notifications, growing storage use, and frequent backup job failures that consumed significant admin time.
