NAKIVO Speeds Up VM Backup and Recovery for an IT Services Company

Trooton, an IT services and consulting firm in Tallinn, Estonia, supports multi-site VMware vSphere environments for its customers and needed a simpler, more reliable way to protect dozens of VMs across distributed data centers. Legacy, agent-based solutions were cumbersome, slow to back up and recover, and lacked easy offsite copy capabilities, so Trooton sought a solution that shortened backup windows, sped recovery, and reduced storage use.

NAKIVO Backup & Replication delivered an agentless, image-based, application-aware solution with forever-incremental backups, global deduplication and compression, Backup Copy for offsite copies, and Instant VM Recovery. As a result, most VMs are backed up in under an hour, VMs can be recovered near-instantly (meeting SLAs of full recovery within four hours), and disk usage for VM backups has dropped by about 30%, while management and support needs have been simplified.
