Cloud Direct, a UK cloud services provider founded in 2003, delivers secure, scalable cloud, networking and DR services to over 4,000 customers. As an MSP offering VM backup and disaster recovery, Cloud Direct struggled with slow, complex and inconsistent VM backup tools that drove long recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) and lacked a customer-facing management portal.

By deploying NAKIVO Backup & Replication as a pre-configured virtual appliance (provisioned via Puppet), Cloud Direct gained faster, simpler backups and multi-tenant management under a single pane of glass. Administration and update time fell by about 90%, average backups (after the initial full) often take under 10 minutes per VM, deduplication improved, and RTOs/RPOs were reduced from days to hours — in some cases to less than an hour — enabling a robust, scalable DRaaS offering.
