NAKIVO Helps Cloud Provider Improve VM Backup-as-a-Service and Reduce Related Costs by 20%

Systemec, a B2B internet and cloud service provider with data centers in the Netherlands and Germany, needed a better way to protect a wide range of customer VMware VMs. Their first‑generation backup tool lacked a web UI and tenant access (only accessible via VMware console or RDP), forcing staff to handle frequent restore requests and increasing operational workload.

Systemec deployed NAKIVO Backup & Replication on Linux for its web interface, performance, and multi‑tenancy and self‑service features (plus Instant Exchange Objects Recovery). The new solution lets customers and staff access and restore their own backups, speeds recoveries, supports environments of up to ~200 VMs, reduces helpdesk calls, and cut operational data protection and cloud services costs by more than 20%.
