NAKIVO Helps Chemical Manufacturer Increase Backup Speed by 7 Times

Transpek Industry Limited, a chemical manufacturer in India running VMware-based workloads across two sites, needed a faster and more reliable backup solution for its critical business systems, including ERP, HRMS, and custom applications. Its existing VMware tools were slow, difficult to manage, and could not deliver the scheduled backups and quick recoveries the company required, creating risk for productivity and data protection. Transpek turned to NAKIVO Backup & Replication to address these challenges.

NAKIVO implemented a QNAP NAS-based backup setup with Director, Transporter, and repository components, giving Transpek a simpler web-based interface and faster backup and recovery operations. With NAKIVO, backup time improved seven-fold, full VM recovery became nearly instantaneous, and daily critical backups plus weekly non-critical backups could be completed far more efficiently, with initial backups taking about 60–70 minutes and incremental backups only 10–20 minutes.
