Integrative Wins New Business with VMware Backup Appliance Based on NAKIVO Backup & Replication

Integrative Global, an IT infrastructure and consulting firm, needed a backup solution that could address customers’ demands for VM protection, replication, backup copy, and disaster recovery while avoiding the high cost and complexity of existing tools. The company turned to NAKIVO Backup & Replication as part of its open-source-friendly strategy and used it to build a VMware backup appliance for its customers.

NAKIVO helped Integrative Global deliver its Umbra backup appliance, built on Ubuntu, Supermicro servers, and ZFS, with NAKIVO Backup & Replication at the core for VM backup, replication, and recovery. The solution improved simplicity and manageability, supported fast recovery and replication, and delivered up to 60% storage savings through deduplication and compression; Integrative Global also reported five large installations and new business growth across Asia, including a first extra-large deployment in Macao.
