Applied Geosolutions (AGS) is a New Hampshire–based geospatial information systems firm that runs a VMware virtual environment to support modeling, remote sensing and GIS workloads for clients worldwide. After experiencing power issues that risked data loss, AGS needed a disk-to-disk-to-tape (D2D2T) backup strategy and near‑instant recovery capabilities—something their previous backup product couldn’t provide without additional hardware and cloud storage (which was impractical for their large dataset).
