Ontario Power Generation (OPG), Ontario’s largest clean power generator, needed a better way to manage complex organizational design and workforce planning across a highly unionized, multi-stakeholder environment. Its manual process for org changes was slow, error-prone, and could take up to 38 days, making it difficult to keep pace with frequent organizational updates and business needs.
Nakisa implemented its organizational design software, Nakisa Workforce Planning/Nakisa HR Suite, integrated with SAP HCM and later enabled native write-back. The solution automated data sharing, improved collaboration, and streamlined approvals, cutting the end-to-end org change process from 38 days to under 5 days while reducing manual work and improving HR reporting and decision-making.
