Astiostech saves time and money with Nagios solutions

Astiostech, a Malaysian open source solution provider specializing in IP telephony, networking and monitoring, needed to monitor more than 5,000 network devices and roughly 2,500 servers while providing a single-point monitoring view and High Availability. They also faced challenges with complex router/switch configuration backups, custom reporting needs, and a required SLA escalation dashboard, so they engaged Nagios for enterprise-grade monitoring solutions.

Nagios implemented two separate Nagios deployments, a customized scheduler for Cisco configuration backups, Jasper Report Server templates for custom reporting, and a High Availability setup using Heartbeat and DRBD. The Nagios solution reduced the likelihood of failure, decreased reload time per session, and cut the time and cost spent on monitoring large-scale infrastructure while improving alerting and SLA visibility.
