Upstream Mobility pilots smart glasses for indoor navigation with Nagarro, winning eAward 2021

Upstream Mobility, a provider of digital infrastructure for urban transportation, faced the challenge of making sustainable mobility safe and accessible for visually impaired individuals who could not use standard visual navigation aids. They partnered with vendor Nagarro to create an Assisted Reality solution using Smart Glasses to address this issue.

Nagarro implemented an indoor navigation solution powered by Smart Glass technology and low-energy beacons. The system provides audio cues and heads-up information to guide users. This project successfully promoted freedom of movement and security in public spaces, and the solution was recognized for fostering real inclusivity, earning an award at the eAward 2021.
