ÖBB Personenverkehr AG, Austria’s largest transport services provider, wanted to do something innovative during UEFA Euro 2016: stream live football matches inside its Railjet trains traveling at up to 230 km/h. The challenge was to ensure stable, high-quality live reception for passengers despite the speed, onboard environment, and a major public digital campaign. Nagarro was brought in to conceive and coordinate the project.

Nagarro developed, tested, and implemented scenarios and technical solutions for stable, fail-safe reception and WLAN connectivity. The result was uninterrupted, high-quality transmission of a total of 4,000 in-game minutes across the Railjet network while traveling at 230 km/h, helping ÖBB deliver a reliable live viewing experience for soccer fans on board.
