The customer, a leading railcar pooling company in North America, faced challenges in collecting failure data from IoT devices deployed across its fleet for remote condition monitoring. With prototype devices physically inaccessible for extended periods, Nagarro's embedded firmware team was unable to diagnose issues like unexpected restarts or battery drain effectively.

Nagarro developed the firmware for the monitoring devices and implemented a key solution to record the system state before a restart, which helped identify a watchdog software issue.
