Barefoot Dreams, the Malibu-based luxury fashion and home brand, needed a modern eCommerce refresh after years on a custom platform that caused performance issues, site crashes during traffic spikes, backend maintenance burdens, and merchandising limitations that led to oversells. Working with agency Zehner, they chose Nacelle and its headless commerce platform to support a new headless PWA and deliver the cutting-edge architecture and UX the brand required.

Zehner implemented a Nacelle-powered headless PWA (built with Vue) on a Shopify Plus backend, added Contentful CMS, revamped UX and navigation, and overhauled onsite search and filtering using Nacelle’s capabilities. The new stack drove a ~35% faster site, a 64% increase in conversion rate, and doubled sales, with Nacelle credited for the speed, customization, and scalability that made those gains possible.
