Case Study: Dahrwin achieves reliable cross-platform mesh networking with N-iX

A N-iX Case Study

Preview of the Dahrwin Case Study

Embedded Software Development and Hardware Design of the Connectivity Solution

Dahrwin, a US-based company developing mesh network solutions, needed help building a cross-platform connectivity product from scratch for environments without Internet or service. N-iX was brought in to provide embedded software development and hardware design expertise for a dynamic mesh network that could support use cases like V2V communications and long-distance messaging.

N-iX implemented a full-cycle solution including a proprietary communication protocol with adaptive routing, custom hardware running embedded Linux, and customized Android firmware with mesh capabilities. The result was a hardware-independent mesh network across Android, iOS, and Linux with TCP/UDP tunneling, reliable connectivity in no-service areas, and faster Linux boot time cut from 40 seconds to 5 seconds.
