Development of a Digital Bike Sharing Solution for Copenhagen Municipal System
Bycyklen operates a digital bike-sharing system for Copenhagen, offering more than 1,800 electric bikes with built-in GPS and motor assistance for locals and tourists. N-iX was brought in to support the platform’s existing backend and applications while helping develop new Android and iOS mobile apps, as well as providing software QA for user management, bike rentals, and trip-start flows.
N-iX implemented backend maintenance, mobile app development, and integrations with payment, mapping, SMS, email, and train services to improve the end-to-end rental experience. As a result, Bycyklen gained a more scalable and connected bike-sharing solution for public transport use across Copenhagen and surrounding areas, with N-iX continuing to support ongoing product development and quality assurance.
