StarNet Gives Customers Visibility and Continuity with N-able Solutions

StarNet, a six-person IT services firm led by CIO Lou Melograna, faced a common challenge: many small and medium-sized customers didn’t realize Microsoft 365 lacks built-in backups and needed a cost-effective, automated solution. Lou evaluated vendors and chose N-able, trialing Cove Data Protection for Microsoft 365 backups alongside N-central for remote monitoring and management.

N-able’s suite—Cove Data Protection, N-central, Mail Assure and N-sight—gave StarNet centralized visibility, automated patching and reliable M365 backups, cutting administrative time with automated tickets and reports. The results: StarNet now manages about 800 endpoints, saves roughly 6 hours per week on maintenance, saw a significant drop in user support calls over four months, resolved email lag issues (from minutes to 2–3 seconds), and reports zero negative customer feedback on N-able products.
