MyTAG helps Whitestone Primary School measure Air Quality

Whitestone Primary School, a primary school in Swansea that holds the Platinum Eco-School Award, sought a way to investigate and monitor air quality as part of its environmental curriculum. The school's challenge was to find an engaging method to measure key pollutants and provide a valuable educational tool for its pupils. They partnered with MyTAG and implemented the MyTAG Air Quality Monitor to address this need.

MyTAG provided a simple, inexpensive air quality monitoring system that measures PM2.5, CO2, temperature, and humidity. The solution's bright LED display and online dashboard allowed both staff and pupils to easily check readings and trends, fostering active participation and cross-curricular learning. The results included optimized indoor conditions for learning and heightened student engagement, with the children using the real-time and global data for their studies. The head teacher confirmed the tool was perfect for inspiring the children and enabling the school to maintain a check on air quality.
