CONCEIVIUM Relies on MySQL to Perform Real-Time Analytics for BlackBerry Enterprise Server

CONCEivium provides MobileMonitor/Analyzer, an end-to-end monitoring and proactive troubleshooting solution that keeps BlackBerry Enterprise Servers (BES) up and performing for large enterprises. Its agents must analyze over 2 GB of BES data per day and handle thousands of transactions per second, but the prior SQLite-based embedded database could only process a subset of transactions—putting uptime, customer productivity and the company’s growth into jeopardy as transaction volumes and business-critical BlackBerry applications increased.

CONCEIVIUM replaced SQLite with an embedded MySQL solution for its speed, low overhead, ease of integration and strong community support. MySQL increased processing capacity by about 70%, enabled real-time analytics across all BES transactions (agents process ~3,000 TPS on average and much more at peak), supported rapid integration (under a day), and unlocked service-level guarantees; customers also report prevented outages and roughly a 50% reduction in BlackBerry-related support calls.
