API chose MySQL Enterprise Edition as the foundation (in production since 2005) and implemented a replication strategy with one master, multiple local slaves and an offsite slave for disaster recovery, plus Oracle Premier Support for rapid expert assistance. The MySQL-based platform now supports over 10,000 daily users, processes more than 100 million transactions a year across 24,000 tables and 1 TB of data, maintains ~99.9% uptime, enables uninterrupted 24x7 services and faster recoveries, and has helped customers and partners improve cash flow and reduce processing costs.
