Anritsu Networks - Customer Case Study

Anritsu Networks Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Anritsu Corporation based in Kanagawa, Japan, develops IP networking technologies including the PureFlow unified network controller (UNC) and its Monitoring Manager 2. The company needed a scalable, low‑cost database to centralize statistical data and reporting across up to 255 PureFlow devices and more than 40,000 scenario types, while delivering consistently high read/write performance and high availability for mission‑critical environments.

Anritsu embedded MySQL into Monitoring Manager 2 to centralize traffic statistics and management on a single server. The solution enabled over 20,000 statistical record writes per second and 60,000 reads per second, a small footprint for varied IT environments, improved reliability for industries with strict uptime requirements, lower total cost of ownership, and centralized global management; the company is also evaluating MySQL Cloud Service for future cloud, big data, IoT and ML needs.
