Route Planning Supports Efforts to End Global Poverty

Essential Need, a Sydney-based non-profit on a mission to end child deaths from water poverty, operates over 1,000 IoT-enabled Smart Donation Boxes in partner businesses. To keep up with changing collection needs, four relationship managers needed an efficient way to plan routes and track the impact of donations across many, frequently changing stops.

In December 2018 the organization adopted MyRouteOnline, importing addresses from Excel to generate more than 10 routes weekly with about 20 stops each; routes are printed and navigated via GPS or Google Maps. The change delivered significant time, mileage and cost savings (more than 20% efficiency), improved staff satisfaction, and strong customer support from the route-planning provider.
