A MYOB Case Study
The Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD), based in Canberra’s Old Parliament House, needed a more intuitive way to manage its finances as visitor numbers, school tours, exhibitions, and revenue streams grew. Its legacy finance system was slow, cumbersome, and heavily manual, making reporting, budgeting, and data access difficult for staff. MoAD turned to MYOB and MYOB Advanced to support its finance operations.
With MYOB Advanced, MoAD gained a cloud-based ERP system with a simpler interface, live data, stronger reporting, and better workflow control. The implementation reduced manual data entry, automated purchase orders, AP payments, and AR requests, and cut paperwork into the Finance department by up to 75%. MYOB Advanced also improved budget tracking, invoice approvals, asset visibility, and self-service access to information, helping MoAD’s finance team spend more time on analysis and strategic support.
