Leading Facilities Cleaning Services Company, an Illinois-based provider of cleaning, security and facility management services using a BYOD contingent workforce, needed a device-agnostic, app-less way to verify time and attendance across disparate phones and some landline-equipped sites while avoiding IT/training overhead. myGeoTracking’s cloud-hosted location and messaging platform was engaged to provide an IVR- and text-based check-in/check-out solution that could meet audit and contract compliance requirements without changing the company’s BYOD policy.

myGeoTracking implemented SMS check-ins that capture GPS coordinates and IVR check-ins for landline sites (employees enter unique IDs), with double-location verification correlating landline addresses and cell-phone locations. The system records job start/end times and total hours, delivers daily audit reports, and alerts managers on check-ins/check-outs. As a result, the company achieved contract compliance, higher worker accountability and productivity, improved payroll management with significant payroll cost reductions, and no IT or training burden for the contingent workforce.
