Global Logistics Company, a supply-chain management and delivery provider for the automotive industry, needed advanced location tracking, geofencing, messaging, ETA monitoring and exception alerts plus customer-facing shipment visibility and integration with its custom ERP and role-based access. They engaged myGeoTracking to supply a carrier-grade, cloud-based location and messaging platform that would run on their existing Intermec Windows 6.5 handhelds, new Android devices and telematics units.
myGeoTracking implemented a pilot with a custom tracking/scanning app, geofenced routes, baseline ETAs, rules-driven estimated-vs-actual monitoring, automated Email/SMS and operations alerts, reporting for customers, and web-API integration with the back office. The deployment delivered real-time fleet visibility, ETA tracking to hubs and final destinations, an event history for bottleneck analysis, and customer reports—enabling SLA compliance and providing a practical decision-support tool for operations.
