A MX Technologies Case Study
I Hate Receipts (IHR), founded in 2010 to simplify organizing receipts and empower consumers with their purchase data, needed a way to leverage cleansed transactional data to prompt users to upload images of itemized receipts to its mobile app. To solve this, I Hate Receipts turned to MX Technologies, using MX’s Data Aggregation and Data Enhancement capabilities (including the Connect widget) to link accounts and surface transaction gaps.
MX Technologies implemented account connection via the Connect widget so MX can detect transactions lacking receipts and prompt users to upload images; its Data Aggregation and Data Enhancement services also provide cleaner views into category, item, payment method, purchase history, and merchant data. The result is improved data completeness and higher-quality retention of receipt data, faster expense reporting and reimbursements, and better user engagement through more actionable, organized receipt records.
