BBVA Compass Mobile-first Initiative Doubles Customer Use of Aggregation

BBVA Compass partnered with MX Technologies to address a mobile-first challenge: the bank wanted to boost mobile engagement, retention, and loyalty by giving customers better budgeting tools and a way to view all their finances in one place. BBVA Compass identified the need for a robust data and aggregation engine to accelerate mobile usage and help customers manage spending and budgets from their preferred platform.

Working with MX Technologies, BBVA Compass launched BBVA Compass Financial Tools—mobile widgets that provide color-coded budget categories and an aggregation engine to link external accounts. Within five months of the mobile launch, the average monthly number of new users aggregating external accounts rose 101%, reversing a prior flat trend and driving increased adoption, engagement, and customer loyalty.
