BWI GmbH launches eToken app in 8 weeks with MVP Factory

BWI GmbH, a leading German IT company and digitalization partner for the Bundeswehr, faced the challenge of creating a secure digital solution that would allow soldiers to easily access free train travel. The existing process required soldiers to obtain digital eTokens through an intranet on business devices, creating significant friction. BWI GmbH engaged MVP Factory to build a highly secure app quickly that would let soldiers redeem eTokens from their personal smartphones.

MVP Factory developed a secure eToken app through an agile process of 8 one-week sprints, incorporating continuous client feedback. The solution was delivered on schedule in just 8 weeks, even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, and met the German Army's highest security standards. The app provides 185,000 soldiers with easy access to train tickets, significantly reducing paperwork and improving their mobility experience across Germany. MVP Factory also provided a complementary web app for admin management and coaching to ensure the client could successfully operate the new platform.
