A Mvix Case Study
The Fremont School District faced the challenge of implementing a new digital signage system for a high school opening in Fall 2012. The district's Director of Technology, Rick Webb, was tasked with this project during an extremely busy period that also involved moving equipment and installing new systems. The district sought to improve efficiency and the flow of traffic during lunch hours by moving away from static menu boards.
The vendor Mvix provided a digital signage solution that was selected for its rich feature set at a low price point, reportedly 15-20% lower than competitors. The implementation process was easy, and the district received good support. As a result, the district can now efficiently upload a 40-day lunch menu rotation in about an hour. Within six months, the digital displays successfully helped students get into the correct lunch line quickly by clearly displaying food choices.
