Agricultural Finance specialist places Musoni at the core of their digitalisation journey

Proximity Finance, one of the largest MFIs in Myanmar, needed a modern core banking and digitalisation platform to support its growing portfolio, preserve extensive client and loan history, and improve efficiency across branches. The company chose Musoni System as its core banking and digitalisation partner, with support from ThitsaWorks for implementation and training.

Musoni System migrated more than 220,000 clients, 600,000 loans, 150,000 savings accounts, and 500,000 custom data points into a single cloud-based database, helping Proximity Finance keep all branch data in real time and improve head office reporting and decision-making. After going live in March 2020, Proximity continued operating through lockdown and disbursed over 40,000 loans in three months, while Musoni System also laid the foundation for new digital services including tablet, SMS, mobile banking, and Mojaloop payment capabilities.
