West Basin Rolls Out Mushroom Networks’ SD-WAN for Uninterrupted Data Flow

West Basin Municipal Water District, a wholesale water agency serving 17 cities in Los Angeles County, faced a connectivity challenge when wired Internet was unavailable at a critical factory due to rights‑of‑access restrictions and their legacy MPLS links were costly and slow to deploy. To meet the needs of real‑time VoIP, video surveillance and cloud ERP, West Basin turned to Mushroom Networks’ SD‑WAN solution with broadband/LTE bonding (Truffle appliances) to provide immediate, high‑performance Internet access.

Mushroom Networks deployed bonded LTE and mixed wired/wireless links plus its cognitive SD‑WAN Virtual Leased Line tunnels, delivering instant connectivity, self‑healing routing and the ability to bond two or three WAN circuits per site. The solution replaced expensive MPLS, lowered WAN operating expenditures, delivered quick return on investment, and noticeably improved reliability and performance for VoIP, video, ERP and other cloud services.
