Retail Store uses Broadband Bonding to Optimize Reliability and Upstream Speeds for Online Store

Craftsman Studio, a San Diego family-owned retailer and ecommerce business, faced limited upstream bandwidth after moving to a new location with only slow DSL options; a single DSL gave ~200 Kbps upload while a T1 was expensive and inflexible. Owner Bill Kohr chose Mushroom Networks’ Truffle BBNA and peered Bonding Service (Bonding Proxy Server in the Mushroom Networks cloud) to aggregate multiple inexpensive DSL lines.

Mushroom Networks bonded four AT&T DSL lines with the Truffle BBNA in peered mode to deliver aggregated speeds nearly equal to a T1 while providing built‑in redundancy. The Mushroom Networks solution cut broadband costs by about 60%, produced much faster upstream speeds than a single connection, and delivered near‑100% uptime for Craftsman Studio’s website updates.
