A Mushroom Networks Case Study
Houlihan Lawrence, the 15th largest independent realtor in the U.S. with 24 offices and over 1,000 agents, faced aging T1 MPLS links that were slow, costly and fragile—issues thrown into sharp relief when Superstorm Sandy knocked out their MPLS network. To cut telecom costs, improve Internet connectivity and move from disaster recovery to disaster prevention, Houlihan Lawrence evaluated alternatives and selected Mushroom Networks’ Truffle SD‑WAN solution and Broadband Bonding® appliances.
Mushroom Networks deployed Truffle appliances to aggregate multiple ISP links with packet‑level Internet bonding and dynamic failover, restoring connectivity quickly after the storm and enabling seamless, unattended failover across offices. The deployment halved telecom bills, delivered orders‑of‑magnitude improvements in end‑user Internet performance, supported VoIP migration savings, simplified branch rollouts and produced high‑availability WAN performance for all 24 offices.
