TennCare, Tennessee's state Medicaid agency, faced the challenge of building a skilled and certified workforce of over 64,000 home healthcare workers. To raise care standards and align with a new value-based payment system, they needed a new, scalable model to assess and validate employee competencies across the entire state.

Mursion designed a comprehensive, competency-based assessment solution using simulated evaluations. This approach allowed workers to demonstrate their skills in realistic, high-stakes scenarios. Mursion successfully piloted the program with over 900 learners, creating a scalable model to certify tens of thousands of workers and help TennCare build a more accountable and quality-driven long-term care system.
