A Mursion Case Study

Preview of the Ericsson Fosters Case Study

Ericsson Fosters Inclusive Behaviors through Immersive, Science-Based Learning

Ericsson, a global telecommunications company, sought to mitigate systemic bias and foster an inclusive culture by moving beyond awareness-based training to create measurable behavioral change among its leaders and employees. To address this, they partnered with the vendor Mursion to utilize its immersive simulation platform, which leverages human-controlled avatars to practice inclusive leadership skills in a psychologically safe environment.

The solution implemented with Mursion involved a science-based program called "Upskilling for an Inclusive Future," which combined expert-led content with realistic VR simulations for practicing difficult conversations. As a result, Ericsson saw 80% of participants continuously applying what they learned to their work habits. The company also achieved equal scores on a key metric of belonging across all genders for the first time in three years, surpassing external benchmarks.
