Mount Sinai, New York City’s largest private health system with seven hospitals and over 40,000 staff serving 350,000+ patients, needed to improve care quality while cutting costs. To deliver patient-centric care across clinics and community partners, they had to unlock and unify data from disparate EHR systems to create a 360-degree patient view and securely share records with community organizations.

Using MuleSoft, Mount Sinai built 15 APIs in four months to expose EHR data to Salesforce and clinicians, then reused those APIs to connect hundreds of community partners. The approach cut integration time with partners by over 50%, improved care planning and outcomes, reduced costs, and increased IT agility.
