RBC Wealth Management, a division of RBC Capital Markets with $379 billion in client assets and more than 2,000 advisors across 179 U.S. locations, faced slow, paper- and mail-based onboarding and fragmented legacy systems that prevented a seamless digital customer and advisor experience and a single view of the client.

By adopting MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform and building reusable APIs (Accounts, Clients, Documents), RBC digitized onboarding, integrated legacy and cloud systems (including Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, Envestnet, and MoneyGuidePro), and launched a client service portal. The result: average onboarding fell to 24 minutes, project delivery sped up 3x, maintenance costs dropped 50%, and advisors now have a unified, real-time view of customers.
